Description

Delicious caramel chocolate chip cookies with a soft center and a rich chocolate drizzle.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened unsalted butter, 1 cup of brown sugar, and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Beat in 2 large eggs, one at a time, ensuring each is well incorporated before adding the next. Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Once chilled, scoop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers remain slightly soft.
  8. Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately make a small indentation in the center of each cookie using the back of a spoon. Fill each indentation with a teaspoon of caramel sauce.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Once cooled, melt 1 cup of chocolate chips in the microwave or over a double boiler. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cookies.

Notes

  • For best results, allow the cookies to chill before baking for a better texture.
  • Experiment with different types of chocolate chips for variation.
