Description
Delicious cookies topped with caramel and chocolate, inspired by Twix bars.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Caramel sauce
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup of unsalted butter and 1 cup of brown sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and mix until combined.
- Beat in 2 large eggs one at a time, followed by 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract. Make sure everything is well incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Once chilled, scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving enough space between each cookie.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, drizzle or spread caramel sauce generously over the top of each cookie.
- Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the caramel-covered cookies.
