Description
There’s something irresistibly comforting about a warm brownie — the way the edges crisp just enough while the center stays gooey and rich. Now imagine being able to enjoy that nostalgic, chocolatey goodness in just sixty seconds. That’s exactly what the One Minute Protein Brownie delivers: a quick, protein-packed solution for when cravings strike but time (or patience) is short.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tablespoons chocolate protein powder
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon sweetener
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 tablespoons applesauce
- 2 tablespoons milk of choice
- 1 tablespoon chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- In a microwave-safe mug or small bowl, combine the chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, sweetener, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to eliminate any clumps. A fork works great for this.
- Add the applesauce and milk of choice to the dry ingredients. Stir until you have a smooth, thick batter. If it seems too dry, add an extra teaspoon of milk — the texture should be dense but spoonable.
- Fold in chocolate chips if you’re using them — they melt beautifully and add extra gooeyness to the center.
- Microwave on high for 30 to 40 seconds. Keep an eye on it! The top should look just set but still soft in the center. Overcooking will dry it out.
- Let it cool for a minute before digging in. The brownie will continue to set slightly as it cools, and the flavors deepen with each warm bite.
Notes
- Optional but encouraged: top it with a drizzle of peanut butter, a scoop of Greek yogurt, or a sprinkle of sea salt.
