Description

A delicious cheesy beef ravioli casserole that’s easy to prepare and perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 23 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • A pinch of red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 912 pieces cheese-filled ravioli
  • optional sautéed onions or bell peppers
  • optional zucchini or spinach

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown 1 pound of ground beef over medium heat. Break it up with a spatula and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in about 2 cups of marinara sauce and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine ricotta cheese, shredded mozzarella, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Mix well until smooth.
  6. In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of the beef mixture at the bottom. Layer half of the ravioli, followed by half of the cheese mixture. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of beef sauce on top.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Allow the casserole to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
